How Does It Work?

We charge from £150 including VAT to remove speed limiters and the price depends on how we have to carry out the work.

Some cars can have the speed limiter removed via diagnostic software such as Ford IDS, Autel or Mercedes Star. Other vehicles can only have speed limiters removed via remapping the ECU.

It’s worth remembering that “remapping” is the process of changing the ECU software, NOT improving performance. Improving the performance of a vehicle whilst carrying out remapping is the process of TUNING.

Therefore, in some cases, we will need to remap your vehicle to remove the speed limiter. However, this does not mean you MUST improve the vehicles performance – this is optional.
